Elevation Certificate
An elevation certificate is a report prepared by a professional surveyor, reporting flood zone information and elevations determined by a field survey. The report is meant to determine at what elevation a building and the surrounding property is at. The elevation certificate shows the elevation point of your property compared to the base flood elevation of your location.

This type of service is needed when a client wishes to know the elevation of subject property and improvements. This is typically used to determine what, if any, flood insurance is needed. Typically a vast majority of mortgage surveys in Florida also require an elevation certificate.
Determine your flood risk with an elevation certificate created by the professionals at SurvTech Solutions.

When Elevation Certificates in Florida are Needed:
An elevation certificate is typically required when these three criteria are met:
-
Your property mortgage purchase is financed from a federally regulated or insured lender
-
Your property is located in a special flood hazard area defined by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) as a high flood risk.
-
The flood insurance policy for your policy is backed by the NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program). Private insurance companies often offer flood insurance labeled with their name but ultimately backed by the government.

Benefits of An Elevation Certificate:
Having an up to date elevation certificate makes you compliant with lender requirements, alerts you to any possible flood risks, as well as make sure your insurance is at the correct coverage rate for your risk factors.
