Q: If you could describe your journey here in one word, what would it be and why?

A: Rewarding. My time at SurvTech Solutions has been more than just a career path; it's been a journey of personal and professional growth. Over the years, I've had the privilege of contributing to the company’s success while building lifelong friendships. Seeing the impact of my work and the connections I've made has been incredibly fulfilling.

Q: If you could switch roles with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?

A: It’d be exciting to switch roles with one of the crew members traveling overseas. I’ve always admired the adventurous aspect of fieldwork, especially when it involves traveling to new and interesting places. Experiencing that hands-on work in diverse environments would give me a fresh perspective on the challenges and rewards our crews face every day.

Q: What’s a little-known fact about you that your colleagues might be surprised to learn?

A: A fun fact about me is that I’ve visited and hiked over 50 state parks in Florida. I love exploring the natural beauty of our state, and each park has its unique charm. It’s a way for me to stay connected with nature and unwind, and I think it surprises people to learn just how much time I’ve spent out in the wilderness.

Q: Have there been any funny or unexpected moments in the office that you’ll never forget?

A: There have been plenty of unexpected moments, but one that stands out is the time a large toad got stuck in the women’s toilet. It was such a bizarre and funny situation, and it definitely brought some unexpected excitement to the day. It's little moments like these that keep things interesting around the office.

Q: If you could bring any celebrity to work at SurvTech Solutions for a day, who would it be and what would you have them do?

A: I’d bring Adam Sandler to work for a day. His humor and lightheartedness would bring some much-needed laughter to the office. Sometimes, a good laugh is all you need to boost morale and keep the positive energy flowing, and I think he’d be the perfect person to do just that.

Q: What’s your go-to office snack that you can’t live without?

A: A granola bar is my go-to office snack. It’s quick, convenient, and gives me just the right boost of energy to keep going through the day. Plus, it’s easy to stash in my desk for whenever I need it.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received, and how has it influenced your career?

A: The best advice I’ve ever received is to “Be the reason someone smiles.” This simple yet profound piece of wisdom has guided me throughout my career in HR. In my role, I interact with people constantly, and I’ve learned that the smallest gesture—a smile, a kind word, or a helpful action—can make a significant impact on someone’s day. It’s a reminder to always approach my work with empathy and positivity.

Q: How do you like to unwind after a busy day at work?

A: After a busy day, there’s nothing better than relaxing with an ice-cold Diet Coke and some Bravo TV. It’s my way of unwinding and letting go of the day’s stresses. Whether it’s catching up on a reality show or just enjoying a quiet moment, it’s my little escape from the daily grind.

Q: If you could have any superpower to help you in your HR role, what would it be and why?

A: I would love to have the superpower to know what others are thinking so I could predict the future. In HR, understanding people’s thoughts and intentions would be incredibly valuable. It would help me anticipate challenges before they arise and better support our team in achieving their goals. Plus, it would make resolving conflicts a whole lot easier!
