At SurvTech Solutions, our commitment to innovation and excellence drives us to continuously invest in the latest technology. Our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) department is excited to announce the addition of state-of-the-art equipment that will enhance our ability to provide accurate, efficient, and reliable services. From ground-penetrating radar (GPR) systems to advanced electromagnetic locators, we are equipping our team with the best tools to meet the needs of our clients.

Subsurface Utility Engineering: Why It Matters

Identifying underground utilities before the design phase of projects along with the construction or excavation projects is critical to avoid costly delays, safety hazards, and damage to infrastructure. Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) provides accurate utility mapping to ensure smooth project execution. With our new equipment, we are raising the bar in terms of precision, efficiency, and safety for all types of projects.

Our New SUE Equipment and Its Benefits

Ground Penetrating Radars (GPRs)

We’ve added a variety of advanced GPR systems to our fleet. These devices allow us to locate and map utilities, voids, and other subsurface features with unparalleled accuracy.

  • LMX-100

LMX-100 is a robust, user-friendly GPR system that detects both metallic and non-metallic subsurface utilities. Ideal for rapid deployment and everyday use, it offers a highly visual interface for real-time subsurface data interpretation.

  • LMX-200

LMX-200 takes subsurface utility locating a step further by providing enhanced data collection and analysis. With features like GPS integration and on-site reporting, this GPR system streamlines the workflow and increases efficiency.

  • PinPointR

The PinPointR is a high-resolution GPR system designed for pinpointing utilities and other subsurface objects. Its precision makes it invaluable for projects that require highly accurate utility location data.

  • GS8000

The GS8000 offers real-time 3D imaging of underground utilities, providing deeper insights into subsurface conditions. It’s perfect for detailed surveys where comprehensive utility mapping is required.

Concrete Imaging GPRs

For clients working on concrete structures, our new concrete imaging GPR systems offer detailed scans of concrete slabs and structures.

  • GP8800

GP8800 is a handheld, wireless GPR system for scanning and imaging concrete. It’s highly portable and can be used on vertical and horizontal surfaces, perfect for detecting rebar, conduits, and voids.

  • GP8000

The GP8000 offers non-destructive testing capabilities for concrete inspections. This system delivers high-resolution images, making it ideal for projects requiring detailed analysis of concrete structures.

Electromagnetic Locators

In addition to GPRs, we’ve invested in the VLoc3-Pro electromagnetic locator, designed to detect underground utilities with remarkable precision.

  • VLoc3-Pro

The VLoc3-Pro features multi-frequency technology, advanced signal interpretation, and depth estimation to locate buried utilities. This locator’s superior accuracy and real-time data feedback significantly reduce the risk of utility strikes and enhance overall project safety.

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge NDT

We also offer advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) technology for measuring the thickness of materials.

  • 39DL Plus Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

The 39DL Plus offers highly accurate ultrasonic thickness measurements for metals, composites, and coatings. It’s a valuable tool for projects that require precise material analysis and quality control.

Survey Equipment

For topographic and geospatial surveys, our upgraded surveying equipment ensures that we deliver the most accurate data for our clients’ needs.

  • Carlson BRx7 Receiver

The Carlson BRx7 GNSS receiver provides high-precision positioning in challenging environments. It’s designed to deliver reliable, repeatable results in a variety of conditions, ensuring accurate geospatial data collection.

  • Carlson RT4 Tablet Data Collector

The Carlson RT4 is a rugged, lightweight data collector equipped with an advanced GNSS receiver. Its user-friendly interface allows our survey team to efficiently collect and manage field data.

Benefits for Our Clients

With our new suite of equipment, SurvTech Solutions can now offer even more reliable and comprehensive services. Here’s how our investment in cutting-edge technology will benefit our clients:

  • Increased Accuracy: The advanced technology in our GPRs, locators, and survey equipment allows us to precisely detect underground utilities and subsurface features, minimizing errors and ensuring a successful project outcome.

  • Enhanced Safety: Our equipment reduces the risk of accidental utility strikes, enhancing the safety of workers and the surrounding community.

  • Efficiency Gains: Faster data collection and real-time feedback mean we can provide detailed utility maps and surveys more quickly, keeping your projects on schedule and within budget.

  • Comprehensive Data and Reporting: Our equipment’s data logging and reporting capabilities provide our clients with detailed, long-term records that can be used for future planning and regulatory compliance.
