SurvTech is fully approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to operate UAVs for aerial mapping and inspection services. SurvTech is one of the few firms in the southeast that has aerial LiDAR and imagery on UAVs and airplanes. Our LiDAR processing department has been working with aerial LiDAR for 15+ years, which makes us highly experienced in processing LiDAR from an aerial vehicle. At SurvTech our UAVs are another tool in our geospatial toolbox. We utilize a pair of DJI Matrice 600+ Professional UAVs because of their "workhouse" ability to get the job done. We also have an American-made Harris M6 Hybrid UAV for large sites. Our DJI 600+ UAVs will fly for approximately 18 minutes with our LiDAR/camera payload, while the Harris M6 hybrid (Gas and Electric) UAV has a flight time of over 1 hour. The extended flight time means fewer missions to process and calibrate, saving time and money for our clients.
